Celebrating Fellowship Housing Graduates in October 2024
On October 19th, fall graduation was held at The Chapel in Palatine, honoring six remarkable moms who have worked tirelessly to create better futures for their families. The afternoon was filled with joy, pride, and heartfelt moments, celebrating these moms’ personal journeys.
The afternoon was brought to life with a delicious meal prepared by Lee and Eddie’s catering and served by the incredible team from Food for Friends, who generously donated their time to make the event even more memorable. Fellowship Housing graduates came to serve the food as well.
Collectively, these six graduates increased their credit scores by an average of 110 points. They saved an average of $20,000 and paid off an average of $15,000 in debt. They also increased their salaries by an average of $6,000.

“I have never had savings before, and it feels amazing! I pay closer attention to what I am buying and think through if I really need it!”
“Fellowship Housing has made a huge impact on our lives! I am thankful for their unwavering support and holding me accountable to my goals of paying off debt, raising my credit score, and budgeting better.” I’m in a better position to go back to school to complete my degree to become a nurse and specialize in neonatal care”
“We never really had a place to call home until my friend told me about Fellowship Housing. I never had a dishwasher or a washer and dryer. I was regularly able to make dinner for my family. Now, I am working on building my new home with Habitat for Humanity and will move in next year! I can finally say I am excited for what’s to come!”
These moms have overcome challenges, achieved financial independence, and created have built a better future for their families. We’re deeply grateful to everyone who played a role in their journey and look forward to continuing this work together.
