Macy's Hosts Private Shopping Event for Fellowship Housing Families

On May 24, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Macy’s Bloomingdale Court hosted 25 children and their families from Fellowship Housing for a private shopping event for summer essentials with a $5,000 clothing grant. This special day was more than just a shopping spree; it was a testament to Macy’s commitment to the community. Congratulations to Macy's, including their local and corporate staff who planned the give-back event, on launching their new store format in Bloomingdale. And a special congratulations to the Bloomingdale store manager, Jenna Pardini, on a successful opening weekend. This give-back event was part of their ribbon-cutting weekend, showing their commitment to give back to the community before they officially opened their doors to the public.

The highlight of the event was the sheer joy observed as women and their children explored the children's department. It was heartwarming to witness mothers with smiles stretching from ear to ear, allowing their children to choose whatever their hearts desired, be it a toy or a fancy dress. The palpable joy in the air was a clear indicator of the event's success. Each mother and her children embodied the spirit of the day—one of freedom, happiness, and empowerment.

The event was filled with touching moments and heartfelt expressions of gratitude. One mom exclaimed, “This was so wonderful, you are absolute angels, thank you so much and God bless you.” Another mom shared how exclusive and well-treated she felt, highlighting that even though they were given a special card, the staff made her feel prioritized and special amidst other shoppers.

An amazing event like this wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and enthusiasm of Macy’s staff. Their efforts to make every participant feel special and prioritized didn’t go unnoticed. They exemplified the company’s values through their actions, ensuring that the event was not just a shopping experience, but a day filled with memorable moments and joy.
