2020 Black & White Gala Thank You & Results

Thank you for attending the 2020 Black and White Gala! What an incredible night filled with laughter, beautiful stories highlighting courageous single moms, good friends and over the top generosity.

The evening began with a cocktail and silent auction hour full of socializing and enjoying beautiful music from harpist, Teagan Larson.

Immediately following was an incredible dinner and rich, story-filled program. Guests heard from many moms and children who have been empowered through Fellowship Housing. This included Tracy Fitzgerald who helped to present the Tony Navitsky 2020 Partner of the year award to Habitat for Humanity of Northern Fox Valley. Fellowship Housing has enjoyed a partnership with Habitat for over 13 years now. This partnership allows many moms to purchase permanent housing of their own through ‘sweat equity’ hours in lieu of a down-payment upon their graduation from Fellowship Housing. Tracy and her daughters are incredibly grateful and excited to be moving into their Habitat home this spring.

Three of our littlest Fellowship Housing family members helped us kick off the live auction by baking and selling cookies - including two giant cookies with milk! It was possibly the cutest start to a live auction to ever be seen. Check it out for yourself in the photo reel of the evening, expertly captured by Elle Taylor Photography.

Once again, emcee, Matt Lundgren, and auctioneer, Tyler Grissom, kept us all laughing. Special music this year was performed by Delwin Eiland and band. This included an original song titled, “Everyone Knows Superman,” written by Delwin in honor of his own single mom’s strength.

Together we raised over $265,000!! We are overwhelmed by your generosity.

Because of you we are well on our way to empowering EVERY motivated single mom in our community to build a new legacy!
