Fellowship Housing’s 2018 Christmas party was a fun and special night. We were blessed with an abundance of volunteers that helped make the event a success. Food for Friends provided dinner to 35 adults and 50 children. A group from Hoffman Estates High School bake 200 cookies for the kids to decorate. Craft a Community, a local craft group provided ornaments for the kids and moms to personalize and paint. We received a special visit from Santa and one of his elves. And each child and mom received a handmade, personalized stocking made by Loving Covers, a local sewing group. It was such a blessing to see each child’s face light up when they got to meet Santa and receive their stocking! Luckily we were able to capture those moments with Eric Niequist’s help from New Branch Films.

Over 40 volunteers in small groups and families also sponsored the moms and children to receive Christmas Gifts through the Christmas Wish Program. In recognition of this generosity and service shown by the Fellowship Housing community over the holidays, the Disney Points of Light Program will donate 10 Disney World park hopper tickets to be auctioned at the February 23rd Black & White Gala.

Without the support of all of our wonderful volunteers the Christmas party would not have been nearly as special as it was!
