November Graduation and Ellie’s Story
On Friday, November 9th, the Fellowship Housing Staff, Board and current moms celebrated with three moms graduating the program. *Cindy, raised her credit score by 200 points and paid off almost $40,000 in debt. *Dana, paid off $14,000 in debt, raised her credit score by 90 points, saved over $20,000 and just closed on her very own home last week.
The third mom, *Ellie, whom we had the joy of celebrating with raised her credit score by almost 200 points, received a promotion at work and had this to say about her time in the Fellowship Housing program…
“My life before Fellowship was a hot mess! I didn’t know what I wanted to do in my life at all. I hit an extremely rough time where I was seriously living paycheck to paycheck. I never had any money left at the end of the month and didn’t have a savings account at all. I didn’t have a budget since I would try to make miracles happen with what I had… I feel like I had a strong relationship with God which is why things worked out the way that they did. It is seriously because of His grace that I am even here.
I heard about Fellowship on K Love radio station one random day… I was accepted into the program the week that my lease was ending and moved all of my things into the new apartment all night.
My goals coming into the program were to give my kids a safe place to stay and call home, save money to buy a house one day, pay off all my debt and increase my credit score. I am happy to say that aside from my school loans, I am completely debt free and my credit score has gone up from the super low 600’s to the high 700’s!
I was actually offered a position to work in California with my job. This is a huge, scary move for me and my family but I feel that it’s for the best. I would love to open a Fellowship Housing in LA to possibly be a blessing to some single moms there as Fellowship has been for me here.
I feel like none of this would be possible without Fellowship. I would not have been here if it weren’t for the love of God and Fellowship.”
Congratulations, November 2018 Graduates! We are incredibly proud of all your hard work and are praying for you and your families as you embark on this new and exciting journey of independence. You are ready and we know you’ve got this!
